Hey, it’s Ben. I’ve used skincare before, but it was just a one-step wash-and-go kind of thing which isn’t really a proper routine. Before I used Bettr Skincare, I was using a face wash from a South African drugstore brand that I had been using since I was twelve. I preferred to stick to what I knew because I have really sensitive skin and every time I used a new cleanser I’d get eczema which was nasty. That’s why Bettr was pretty cool because my skin did not get irritatedat all.
A couple of months ago, I was at a bar chatting up a girl and I asked her ‘how old do you think I am?’ and she said, ‘32’. That was horrible, I’m 24 and she said 32. Man, that really hurt and that’s when I knew I had to do something about my face. So, I did a quick search on men’s skincare and found Bettr. The first thing I noticed was the black-on-black, which looked really gangster and sleek. I mean, you can never go wrong with anything black. It’s pretty cool that the ingredients are imported because the cleanser I was using earlier just had a bunch of chemicals that would burn my face if I left it on for too long.
What really blew my mind was Bettr’s moisturizer. When I first started using the set, I went on vacation and I seriously burnt myself - I was literally the same color as a red marker. I put on the moisturizer, every hour or so, and the sunburn was gone within a day and a half - plus my face was really soft. Something you need to know about me is that I’m really clumsy, so I fall a lot and cause scars on my face, which the serum helped smooth out.
I work at a gym as a personal trainer which means I see lots of people every day. I must say, a lot of the ladies, have come up to say ‘your skin’s looking nice’ because they notice these things but guys would just tell you ‘well, done that was a good bench press’ or something. In the gym, there are literally mirrors everywhere, so when you look into the mirror when you see a zit it can be a real bummer. But thanks to Bettr, when I see myself in the mirror I feel more relaxed in my own skin.
