Tried & True Tricks To Effectively Get Rid of Dark Circles

Between rushing to and from the office, spending every minute adulting, life gets in the way and sleep takes a back seat. When you sleep takes a serious hit, your body can start to show it with dark circles and baggy eyes. On our journey to create Bettr, we’ve picked up a couple of tips and tricks that would help even if you’ve been up all night - working, partying, studying - no one will be able to tell that you didn’t sleep a wink. Here’s how you can fool them:

Get Some Shut Eye (The Right Way)

Is there even a wrong way to sleep? If we’re being technical, yes. Throwing yourself in bed at the end of the day and knocking out isn’t the best sleep quality to help curb your dark circles. It might sound ridiculous, but trust us switching your sleeping position to lying on your back with an extra pillow can make a huge difference. So what happens if you sleep on your side or stomach? Gravity. Overnight, fluids would pool and collect around your eye area causing puffiness and darker under eyes.

It’s probably the hardest thing you’ll have to do - challenge yourself to unplug at least two hours before bed to limit your blue light exposure.

Lay Off The Salt

This one’s straightforward. Sodium, aka salt, causes your body to retain water and your eyes to become puffy. The equation is simple; less salt = less puffiness = looking fresher.

Stay Hydrated

When your body’s dehydrated, it starts to act like a camel by storing the excess water which results in puffiness and under-eye bags. So, we highly recommend drinking at least two liters of water a day to not only keep your skin looking good, but also keep your dark circles at bay. Bonus: water can help flush out the sodium as well. So it’s a win-win in every way!

Bettr’s Serum

We’re not usually one to toot our own horn, but we’re not the only ones that believe Bettr’s Restore Bettr works. Loaded with rich all-natural antioxidants, the serum reduces the appearance of dark circles, redness, or any discoloration. Not only that, it promotes the skin’s natural collagen production to reverse aging. But, don’t take our word for it, here’s what a few of the thousands of Bettr users have to say about Restore Bettr:

‘Nuff said.
